Who We Are
We are a fully online tax preparation service built for individuals and small businesses nationwide. By skipping the expensive brick-and-mortar office, we’re able to keep our pricing straightforward and affordable — without cutting corners on quality or service.
Our founder is a U.S. Air Force veteran with a background in finance, accounting, and tax preparation.
Military service: Held a top-secret security clearance and worked in several facilities handling classified information, including the National Security Agency. She earned two associate degrees during her service.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance with a minor in accounting.
Experience: Bookkeeping, payroll, and individual tax preparation with several companies. She currently contracts with an accounting firm, where she is the sole tax specialist and works with business, partnership, and nonprofit returns.
IRS credentials: Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) and IRS Annual Filing Season Program (AFSP) Record of Completion. AFSP participants with a valid PTIN are listed in the IRS’s public directory of tax preparers, and the program gives limited representation rights for returns she prepared and signed.
Next goal: Becoming an Enrolled Agent, an IRS credential that will expand her ability to represent taxpayers before the IRS.
Why We Do What We Do
After working at several traditional tax firms, two things stood out:
First, a lot of clients felt anxious just walking into the office. They’d fill out paperwork, hand over documents, then sit through a conversation that often felt more like an interrogation than a helpful review — full of jargon that left them more confused than when they arrived.
Second, the pricing was frustrating. Clients either faced a high flat fee or got charged based on how many forms were needed or how long the preparer spent on the return.
We started Axiom Horizon Tax Service to do things differently: clear communication, transparent pricing, and a stress-free process you can complete from home.
